Welcome and thank you for visiting

Please join me and my supporters in voting for a change in El Cerrito City Council policies.  I am endorsed by the Contra Costa Times and the El Cerrito Journal along with Jones and Lyman.  (click to read the article)

I am a candidate for City Council because I believe we can benefit from a new way of running our town.  I am a progressive democrat who believes that city government can function better when we act in a fiscally responsible manner and include residents and alternative voices as true partners in major decisions.

I have a record of digging up facts and representing what is best for our community.  I always strive to provide solutions rather than pursuing politically expedient and sometime hurtful tactics.  For example, our redevelopment taxes should be spent on projects that revitalize our city, not just build more apartments on San Pablo Avenue as part of tax-payer funded, developer giveaways.

With your help and with our community support I will be your representative on the City Council.  I will continue to work and speak the facts, regardless of special interests.  I will be a straight-talking Council Member who is responsive to the people.  I will work for a greener El Cerrito, discourage excessive building of high-density housing, and roll out an incentive plan that will encourage firefighters, police, paramedics, and other first responders to live locally.

I work well with committees, both in my science profession and in El Cerrito on the Financial Advisory Board.  Previous El Cerrito mayors have endorsed my candidacy, a sign of approval of my effective work for El Cerrito.

Please send me an email if you have questions about my campaign or just write to say, “Good luck!”
